Velvet Vibrations – Frequencies for the Sea
Velvet Vibrations – Frequencies for the Sea
This July, Jersey's creative community will come together for Velvet Vibrations – Frequencies for the Sea, a unique interdisciplinary performance exploring our connection to the ocean through dance, music, visual art and poetry.
Created by internationally recognised multidisciplinary artist Corey Ceccarelli, the project brings together dancers, singers, poets, visual artists, a choir and live musicians in a collaborative artistic response to the rhythms, power and fragility of the marine world.
The performance will take place directly on the beach at Plemont Bay during low tide, transforming the natural shoreline into a powerful outdoor stage. Movement, sound and visual storytelling will unfold within the landscape, creating an immersive and reflective experience inspired by the sea.
A key part of the project is the involvement of students and young participants, whose sea-themed artworks, dance and music will form part of the performance environment. Their contributions help create a shared creative space where artists of different generations and disciplines come together.
More than a performance, Velvet Vibrations – Frequencies for the Sea is a celebration of creativity and a reminder of the importance of caring for the oceans that connect us all.
Audiences are invited to experience this unique collaborative event and reconnect with the natural forces that shape life on the island.
Start time: 10:00
