Jersey dancers are in for a real treat this spring as La Haule Manor teams up with Let’s Dance and the National Association of Teachers of Dancing (NATD) to present two very special events on Saturday 11th April 2026.
With household names from the world of ballroom and television heading to the island, this promises to be one of the standout dance dates of the year.
Dance with the Stars: FREE Workshops at the Town Hall
The day begins at the Town Hall in St. Helier with Dance with the Stars, a series of FREE dance workshops open to all ages.
Leading the sessions will be:
- Angela Rippon CBE: Broadcaster, journalist and author, widely recognised as one of the original presenters of Come Dancing and more recently a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, where she made headlines as the show's oldest competitor.
- Ian Waite: Former professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing and a long-standing favourite on It Takes Two, known for his choreography, teaching and infectious enthusiasm for ballroom and Latin dance.
- Alexandra Waite-Roberts: Professional dancer, choreographer and experienced teacher, recognised for her work in competitive dance and performance, and for inspiring dancers of all ages.
Workshop schedule:
- 09:30: Doors open
- 10:00 to 10:45: Fit Steps
- 11:00 to 11:45: Musical Dance
- 12:00 to 12:45: Latin Dance
From fitness-based routines to musical theatre and Latin flair, the morning offers something for everyone - whether you're a seasoned dancer or simply fancy giving it a go.

Let’s Dance: An Evening Gala at La Haule Manor
Following the daytime workshops, the celebrations continue with an elegant evening of dance, music and dining at La Haule Manor.
Guests will enjoy a sparkling reception before an exclusive Q&A session with Angela Rippon and Ian Waite, offering insight into their remarkable careers in broadcasting and professional dance.
Evening schedule:
- 18:30: Arrival and sparkling reception
- 19:00: Q&A with Angela Rippon and Ian Waite
- 19:45: Around the World buffet
- 21:00: Performance dance and music
- 23:00: Carriages
The evening promises dazzling performances, wonderful food and the chance to socialise in the beautiful surroundings of La Haule Manor.
