Jersey-born performer Jonny Labey is set to return to the Jersey Opera House stage this January with the world premiere of his brand-new show, Full Swing: a heartfelt, high-energy celebration of swing, storytelling and the life of a performer.
Running across three performances on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th January, Full Swing marks a special homecoming for Jonny and coincides with the recent reopening of the Jersey Opera House. Following the sell-out success of Swingin’ In The Rain, this latest production promises even more music, movement and moments that will have audiences smiling, laughing, and dancing in their seats.
Full Swing is an honest and engaging exploration of Jonny's journey through theatre and performance, told through timeless swing tunes, personal stories and dynamic choreography. From the highs of the stage to the challenges behind the scenes, Jonny shares the experiences that have shaped his career, bringing warmth, humour and authenticity to every moment.
Directed by Mario Campanaro, with choreography by Simon Hardwick and music direction by Peter J Adamson, the show combines polished stagecraft with genuine storytelling. Jonny himself describes the production as “Jersey Boys and Blood Brothers told at a Robbie Williams swing concert”, giving audiences a flavour of what to expect from this lively and emotionally rich performance.
The show has already proven so popular that an additional performance has been added, with tickets selling fast. For Jonny, performing at the Jersey Opera House carries particular significance. As his mum shared, the passion and truth behind his writing shines through, touching on both the emotional realities of life as a performer and his personal experiences, making Full Swing funny, musical, heart-warming and deeply relatable.
