Let's dance. Let's unite. Let's make history.
Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey is inviting islanders to come together on Saturday 28th June 2025 for a dance event like no other - the Macarenathon - as they aim to break the Guinness World Record for the most people dancing the Macarena at once.
Taking place in the Royal Square, St. Helier, from 10:00 to 16:00, this all-day celebration promises non-stop music, carnival vibes, live entertainment, and a whole lot of fun for the whole family.
This is more than just a dance - it's a show of community spirit, a celebration of movement, and a powerful way to raise funds for those affected by cancer in Jersey. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just want to take part in something joyful and uplifting, this is your moment to get involved.
Andrew Gardham, Community and Engagement Lead for Macmillan Jersey, said: "The aim of this one-of-a-kind event is to bring the whole community together for a celebration of music, fun, and group spirit whilst aiming to break the Guinness World Record at the same time.
This event is open to all ages, and we urge islanders to come along for a fun day out whilst making a difference and raising funds to support people affected by cancer locally in Jersey whilst hopefully making history!"
