The Coronation Park Concert Series returns this August, bringing open-air live music to the west of the island - with plenty of opportunity to get up and dance!
Set against the beautiful backdrop of Coronation Park at Millbrook, these ticketed evening events are a chance to enjoy everything from disco and country to Bollywood and musical theatre. Whether you're into dancing barefoot on the grass, swaying to soul, or throwing shapes with friends under the setting sun, this is a series worth knowing about.
Here's what's coming up:
Tuesday 12th August: Disco and Funk
This is your chance to dance like it's Studio 54. The night opens with SupaFunk!, a powerhouse Jersey-based funk band bringing irresistible instrumental grooves, big brass energy, and rhythms built for the dancefloor. Then it's time for Miss Disco herself, Sue Darwar, whose voice and stage presence are nothing short of legendary. With a glittering tribute to the greats of the disco era - think Chic, Donna Summer, ABBA - this night is made for sequins, soul, and non-stop dancing. Prizes for best disco outfit, so dress to impress!
Wednesday 13th August: Midnight Joanna
A musical night with a difference. Midnight Joanna turns Coronation Park into a late-night piano lounge, where the music is rich with rock 'n' roll, jivin' jazz and bluesy grooves. While there's a story unfolding on stage, the rhythm is contagious - and the crowd is very much part of the action. Expect toe-tapping, hip-swaying, and the chance to get up and dance as the drama plays out. Live music with a local twist, perfect for those who like their theatre with a dancefloor feel.
Thursday 14th August: Country Fest
Get ready to two-step, line dance or just freestyle to your heart's content: Riverwild is back by popular demand! Fronted by powerhouse vocalists Jenny McCarthy and Sam Temple, the band brings a high-energy set of country-pop favourites guaranteed to get you moving. Expect hits from Dolly, Shania, Beyoncé and more. Whether you're a seasoned line dancer or just in it for the boot-stomping fun, this is your night to shine. Denim and cowboy hats encouraged!
Friday 15th August: Botown - The Soul of Bollywood
Big brass, soulful grooves, and Bollywood beats: Botown bring a high-energy blend of 60s soul and classic Indian film music to the park. Known for turning Bollywood anthems into dancefloor bangers, this multicultural band creates a feel-good party vibe that gets everyone moving. Think Marvin Gaye meets Mumbai. Whether you're grooving to the horns or spinning to the tabla, this night promises non-stop rhythm and cross-cultural celebration. A must for dancers who love something different, bold and bursting with joy.
Saturday 16th August: Party in the Park
Get ready for a full-on dancefloor extravaganza! Nova is a powerhouse fourteen-piece showband made up of members from Little Black Dress, Sister Disco, and The Word on the Street. They'll be performing an electrifying set packed with hits from icons like Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, Gloria Estefan, The Spice Girls, and Whitney Houston - guaranteed to keep you moving all night. The party vibe is ramped up with support from Music Managed DJs and the smooth sounds of Saxman Jersey. Bring your dancing shoes and prepare to dance the night away!
Sunday 17th August: Magic of the Musicals
Closing out the series is The Jersey Sound, bringing a lively concert of favourite West End musical hits and classic tunes. Known for high-energy shows and timeless melodies, from Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons to The Overtones, they'll have the crowd tapping feet and dancing all afternoon. A perfect family-friendly way to enjoy some singalongs and easygoing dance moments under the summer sky.
