SOMA Jersey Spring/Summer Programme 2026: Somatic Painting Sessions

This series of five workshops with Emilie Knight fuses embodied movement with creative expression via the medium of paint. You will be guided and supported to let go and release into intuitive movement, engaging with paint as an extension of the body - the primary creative tool for expression. In week 4, there will be an opportunity to respond to improvised sound and music to add colour and complexity to the process.

No prior art or movement experience is required, just curiosity and an openness to explore!

Emilie is an abstract expressionist painter who works exclusively with her hands, fingers and feet. Moving instinctively through paint, she taps into her subconscious and follows the natural rhythm of her body.

Five sessions on Thursday evenings (19:00 to 21:00) from 30th April to 28th May.
