Lindy Hop is a lively partner dance born in the 1920s Harlem ballrooms, pulsing with the infectious rhythms of big band jazz and swing music. Its energetic improvisational moves exploded through the 1930s and 1940s embodying celebration and liberation. Enjoying a vibrant renaissance in recent years, Lindy Hop has become a cool fun way for people of all ages to connect and celebrate. Perfect for Jersey's Liberation Day festivities.

What does Lindy Hop Jersey do?
Lindy Hop Jersey is a passionate group of swing dancers dedicated to bringing the joy of Lindy Hop to Jersey! They organise classes, social dances and events to share their love for this lively dance with our community.

*Please also bring:

• Comfy shoes: ideally something with a smooth sole (nothing too grippy!) so you can spin and move with ease; trainers are fine if they're not too sticky
• A bottle of water – dancing is thirsty work!
