Evita (relaxed performance)

Jersey's big summer musical 2024: Evita. Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber & lyrics by Tim Rice. An amateur production by arrangement with the Really Useful Group.

Evita charts the meteoric rise of the young and ambitious Eva Peron from a poor, illegitimate child to the most powerful woman in Latin America. Set in Argentina between 1934-1952, this Tony-winning musical follows Eva Duarte's journey as she transforms from an ambitious actress to the wife of military leader-turned-president Juan Peron, achieving sainthood before her untimely death at age 33. The events in Eva’s life are brought to life through song, narrated by the character Che.

Performed on a purpose-built stage inside the RJA&HS' main exhibition hall, the life of Eva Peron and the timeless songs of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice will be vividly brought to life by a cast of over 60, supported by a full, live orchestra. In this production, Eva will be played by Kathryn Baker.

Corporate packages are available.

This performance starts at 19:30.
